Plans have been submitted to carry out replacement waterproofing and concrete repairs at a car park in Dundee city centre.

The proposals, which will be discussed by the Council's City Development Committee next week, could see more than £400,000 spent on the Gellatly Street multi-storey car park.

The project would see the removal of the existing expired deck waterproofing system, the repair and preparation of the deck surface and the installation of new waterproofing on every floor.

The lowest tender for the works was provided by USL Structure Care.

Commenting on the scheme, Will Dawson, Convener of Dundee City Council's City Development Committee, said: "Gellatly Street is a popular and safe place for visitors and people who work in the city centre to park their cars.

"We want to be sure that continues to be the case and by renewing the waterproofing and, where necessary repairing the concrete, it will continue to be one of our most popular multi storey car parks for many years to come."
