Construction works are to continue on the A82 Pulpit Road improvement scheme, Transport Scotland has said.
The work will see a series of overnight closures put in place from 10 to 22 May 2014.
The road is set to close at Pulpit Rock, South of Ardlui, at 10pm with a schedule reopening at 6am each following morning. It will remain open on either side of the closure.
Diversion routes will be in place for through traffic and are as follows:
• Northbound via the A83 at Tarbet, A819 and A85
• Southbound via the A85 at Tyndrum, A819 and A83.
McLaughlin and Harvey are the contractors responsible for carrying out the work and plan to deliver and install a number of steel box girders, each weighing up to 50 tonnes. The lifting operation, which will involve two large cranes, will be subject to favourable weather conditions during the period.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Transport Scotland said: "We would like to thank the local community and road users for their continued patience during these challenging works."
