The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) is to host a roadshow at The Scottish Homebuilding & Renovating and Home Improvement Show this year.
The show will take place on 17 and 18 May 2014, at the SECC in Glasgow.
Earlier this year, the new domestic RHI was launched; this is a government financial incentive scheme that provides payments to encourage the installation of renewable heating technologies in homes.
In order to help people understand the benefits of the scheme, the DECC and Ofgem – who administer RHI – will run a series of eight seminar sessions, plus two Q&A sessions on the scheme during this year's show. The talks will be held at a dedicated RHI Zone on site.
Sarah Redwood, Head of the Domestic RHI, said: "Heat is the single biggest reason we use energy in our homes and most of it comes from fossil fuels. The RHI scheme will help consumers, particularly those living off the gas grid, to reduce their heating bills by switching to renewable heat technologies."
