£21.2m For Derelict Land Regeneration

£21.2m of public money is to be used to bring derelict land in the west of Scotland back into use.

The Scottish government has put forward £16m for the development of 120,000 sq ft of office space in Dalmarnock, Glasgow.

A further £5.2m is going towards funding a new medical centre and industrial and office space in Ardrossan, North Ayrshire.

Local regeneration companies Clyde Gateway and Irvine Bay are being tasked with the responsibility of handling the funding and delivering the projects.

Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the allocation of the funding.

She said: "These projects will make a substantial difference, supporting jobs and growth in the short term, as well as providing a lasting legacy for the communities involved."
