A vital phase in the transformation of the road layout at Dundee's central waterfront has begun.
From Monday (February 27) the short section of road between Dock Street and Riverside roundabout will be permanently closed,
Drivers will instead have to use Yeamans Shore to get onto Marketgait, Riverside roundabout and Tay Road Bridge.
Later this week there will be two overnight closures of the eastbound South Marketgait between 7pm and 7am to realign the north side of the Riverside roundabout and a pedestrian crossing.
On Thursday/Friday (March 1/2) and Friday/Saturday (March 2/3) traffic using the Riverside roundabout heading East or on to the Tay Road Bridge will be diverted via the inner ring road.
For pedestrians, the current temporary route from Tayside House to the Olympia will also be closed overnight on Thursday with signs directing people to cross Marketgait at the railway station.
The pedestrian crossing will reopen on its new alignment on Friday morning (March 2).
