PE Accommodation Upgrade For High School

Woodfarm High School is set for an upgrade to its PE accommodation.

For, as part of East Renfrewshire Council's budget, £646,000 was set aside to upgrade the PE accommodation.

Council leader, Councillor Jim Fletcher, said: "Our budget decisions were based around investment in our communities. I'm delighted that we were able to announce an investment of £646,000 at Woodfarm High School. The extension to the school delivered excellent new accommodation which has clearly benefited our young people.It's time that the PE block got upgraded at the school and this investment will I'm sure be very welcome at Woodfarm."

Woodfarm high school celebrates 50 years this year and in December inspectors awarded the school three 'excellents' and two 'very goods', making it one of the highest graded schools in the country.

The work on the PE accommodation at Woodfarm High School will start during financial year 2012/13.
