Industry body Homes for Scotland has launched its 2012 Awards scheme, focusing on four themes which remain critical to the home building industry’s future success: customers, people, partnership and design.

Two awards are attached to each theme and entries are now being invited from Homes for Scotland members and key partners, with winners announced at the organisation’s Annual Lunch at the EICC on Friday 4 May 2012.

Submissions will be assessed by an independent judging panel chaired by Glasgow Solicitors Property Centre Chief Executive Mark Hordern.

With the awards scheme now in its 10th year, 2012 will see the introduction of an exciting new twist to the awards ceremony in the form of an electronic voting system.

This will be used by those in attendance to cast their votes for two new headline awards: "Home Builder of the Year" and "Supporting Company of the Year", ensuring that the audience is placed at the very heart of proceedings.

With an average turnout of 630 guests over the last five years, it is anticipated that this innovation will further highlight why the ceremony maintains its position as the premier event in the home building industry calendar.
