A Masterplan is being developed for the future infrastructure of an important area of East Dunbartonshire.
Following discussion at a recent Development and Infrastructure committee meeting the preliminary seminar for the Kirkintilloch Masterplan development process has now been confirmed.
Elected members attended a recent seminar with the Convener of the Development and Infrastructure Committee, Councillor Billy Hendry noting: "The regeneration of Kirkintilloch town centre, building on its existing heritage and recent positive developments through KI will be best delivered through a Masterplan to complement the East Dunbartonshire local plan.
"Elected members are to agree the process for shaping the Masterplan and to discuss the timescale, stakeholder involvement and stages that will be undertaken to help set up our future vision for the town centre," he said.
Following the recent seminar a paper will be presented to a future meeting of the Development and Infrastructure Committee to agree the process and timescale for the development of a Masterplan.
