Kier Scotland has been selected by South Lanarkshire Council to join the contractor framework for the delivery of the second tranche of its primary schools modernisation programme, with an overall value of approximately £150m.
Kier’s team, which includes RMJM Architects, has already successfully delivered nine new schools and is currently completing three, as part of the first tranche of the programme.
Managing director Derek Fothergill said: “We are all delighted to have been invited onto the framework for the second tranche of schools for South Lanarkshire Council. They are an enlightened client, who appreciate good quality design and construction, and welcome innovation. We look forward to bringing some innovative ideas to the next schools that we build.”
