Proserv (Scotland) Ltd have launched a unique service offering preventative winter gritting and snow clearance contracts.
Throughout the winter season (1st November and 31st March) they monitor the weather 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using the ‘The Met Office Open Road Forecasting Services’.
This service enables us to stay competitive by:
• Reducing operational expenditure in marginal conditions with more cost-effective use of grit supplies.
• Be better informed, to have more confident decision making, enabling us to make the best possible judgements regarding treatments to your sites without compromising safety.
• Minimizing delays and reducing the effects of winter weather on your operations with our accurate and timely forecasts.
• Reduce environmental damage with more effective treatment of routes.
• To have first-glance guidance with a three colour alert triggering system on all our forecasts.
Using your postcode they can receive an accurate local weather forecast for your region with predicted air/ground temperatures and snowfall for that night.
The Met Office provides them with a 24 Forecast Daily. A copy of this will be emailed to all customers on a daily basis.
