Link Homes (part of the Link group) has achieved a commendation in the 2010 Homes for Scotland awards for its high quality affordable housing development in Wood Street, Grangemouth.

Homes for Scotland said Link Homes demonstrated ‘impressive partnership and marketing approaches’ in delivering the 73 properties in Wood Street. The judges highlighted the testimonials praising Link received from Falkirk Council and occupiers of the new homes.

Speaking of working in partnership with Link Homes on the development, Paul McLay from Falkirk Council’s Corporate & Neighbourhood Services said: “Falkirk Council has worked in partnership with Link for many years both in housing management and new build development. All regeneration activity within the Falkirk area is carefully planned to meet our Local Housing Strategy and SHIP (Strategic Housing Investment Plan) and Link has been very much part of this process.”

Craig Sanderson, Chief Executive of Link Group, added: “Receiving this commendation from Homes for Scotland is very satisfying. It demonstrates how well Link Homes works in partnership with local authorities and members of the communities in which it develops affordable housing.
