The range of services provided to council tenants in Dundee will be showcased at a special event being staged by the city council this Saturday, August 29.
The council's housing department, together with partner organisations such as Tayside Police and Tayside Fire and Rescue, are holding a Tenants' Information Fair in the Marryat Hall from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
There will be more than 20 "stalls" displaying information about a wide range of frontline services for council tenants, including those provided by the improvement, repair and anti-social behaviour teams. There will also be a display of the kitchen and shower units that are installed in tenants' homes.
The fair will also give tenants the opportunity to meet and have informal discussions with staff about the housing service and housing-related services provided by the partner organisations.
During the fair there will be a "Question Time" session between 12.30pm and 1.30pm at which tenants can quiz housing convener Councillor Jimmy Black, director of housing Elaine Zwirlein and her management team.
To help make it a family-friendly event there will also be a range of children's activities such as face-painting and mask-making.
Council tenants attending the event can complete an evaluation form for entry into a draw for prizes including a flat-screen TV and shopping vouchers donated by a range of contractors working for the council.
