Children in the Pumpherston area of West Lothian will be excited to know that work is starting on a re-development of Harrysmuir play park this week.
Youngsters from Pumpherston and Uphall Community Primary School were consulted about what they would like for the new play park.
Costing around £50,000 the work is expected to take about four weeks.
Livingston based The Play Practice are carrying out the installation works.
West Lothian Councillor Robert De Bold, Executive councillor for the environment, said: "The plans for the new play park look very exciting. I'm sure that local young people will be very pleased with the outcome when it's completed.
"It is also good news that a local company is carrying out the work."
