A £400k improvement programme for 40 council owned properties in Falkirk has been given the go-ahead.
The properties (a mix of two storey flats and family housing) will have new roofs installed as well as re-rendering of the outside of the building with new roughcast.
Work is scheduled to start in early autumn for a period of around three months at properties in the Stirling Street and Allan Crescent areas.
The £404k tender was won by the Council's in-house Building Maintenance Division.
Falkirk Cllr Linda Gow, Convener of the Policy and Resources Committee, said: "These improvements will really make a big impact in how our properties look as well as providing additional protection from the elements.
"This is part of our wider block improvement programme that should see many hundreds of properties improved in the next two years."
