Politicians have called for an extension on the Shetland Viking Energy wind farm consultation.
The consultation focuses on plans to build 150 turbines. This would generate £37m annually and create hundreds of jobs for the island.
MP Alistair Carmichael and MSP Tavish Scott said the end of June may be too soon to end the consultation.
There has been hundreds of objections to the joint venture between Scottish and Southern Energy.
