Major Engineering Consultant Opens New Dundee Office

Millard Consulting has completed a strategic relocation of two Scottish offices to the prestigious Seabraes Yards development in Dundee.

The engineering consultants were formerly based in Dundee and Perth.

Ken Pirie, who heads Millard's Scotland team, said the new office is a key, and exciting move for the company.

"It contributes to the realisation of focused development plans for Millard Consulting in Scotland, which include a new office base within Stirling in the immediate future.

"Our move to Seabraes sees existing staff from both offices merge to create a team focused on enhancing and improving our approach to customer service, and provides room for expansion of the range of services that we offer," he said.

Mr Pirie continued: "We see Seabraes Yards, which sits within the masterplan area for the Dundee Waterfront development project, as one of Scotland's most high-profile and important investment projects.

"Millard has been involved with development in Dundee and Tayside since the very start of the business, and we look forward to playing a significant part in supporting the development of this area, whilst enhancing our own ability to provide quality service throughout the Central Belt."

Richard Cameron, Millard Consulting Group MD, said the new office is a major benefit to the Group and is symbolic of how the firm can work better, together.

This was echoed by Debra Millard, the company's Chairwoman, who stated: "I am really pleased that Scotland, where we started this business, now has such a strong base. The move to Seabraes will enable us to focus on further developing the business and enhancing our already strong service portfolio and approach to customer service."

Notable Millard Consulting projects in the Perth and Dundee areas range from single dwellings, to major 1,200 plus home new settlements such as Oudenarde, at Bridge of Earn. They also include Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, the Webster Theatre, Arbroath, Perth College and Newtyle primary School.
