An Associate with leading law firm, HBJ Gateley Wareing, has joined an exclusive group of solicitors to achieve the Signet Accreditation standard in Commercial Property and will pick up her award at the Signet Library, Edinburgh on Wednesday 28 January.

Katy Erskine (30) scored in the highest bands possible in each of the three individual elements of the Accreditation Exam, which was introduced in 2007.

The Signet Accreditation is a standard set up for Scottish solicitors by The WS Society, the country’s independent association for lawyers and one of the most historic and respected legal organisations, The Signet Accreditation allows lawyers who successfully complete a rigorous assessment process to be recognised for high standards in both legal knowledge and client-focused skills, such as communication and commerciality.

Katy, who studied at Edinburgh University, qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and joined HBJ Gateley Wareing's real estate department in Edinburgh in 2005.
