First Minister To Conduct Topping Out Ceremony

First Minister Alex Salmond will conduct the topping out ceremony at the £330m Maxim centre under construction at the Eurocentral complex in Lanarkshire.

Located at the former Chunghwa Picture Tubes factory site the Maxim centre will provide up to 8,000 jobs over 756, 000 sq ft of office space making it one of the largest office parks in Scotland.

The First Minister will take a tour of the park and sign a steel beam which bears the signatures of the 490 construction staff on site.

Developers believe the privately-funded park will attract British and international firms.
