More than 400 tenants across the Highland's are set to benefit from a £1m investment programme by the largest housing society in the Highlands.
Sparkling new bathrooms are the latest phase of an ongoing programme of improvements by Albyn Housing Society. Tenants in Nairn, Dingwall, Evanton, Alness, Invergordon and Tain will all enjoy the benefits of brand new bathroom suites.
And it's not just Albyn residents who are benefiting. Two businesses with local bases have secured the contract to carry out the work on the project. Armour & Partners is project managing the scheme and Robertson Construction will be carrying out the work, which will commence on September 29 in Nairn.
Calum Macaulay, Chief Executive of Albyn, said: "We take great pride in our Albyn homes, and this latest £1m injection is part of an ongoing, long term investment plan for our housing stock.
"As usual with any major work we carry out tenant consultation is an integral part of the project. We have tenant representation on the core group responsible for running this project and we will be holding a series of public meetings and making door to door visits in the run up to the work taking place. We want to give residents as much information as possible before their new bathrooms are installed."
The new bathrooms will consist of modern white suites, with new non-slip floor vinyl and splash back tiling. The work will be completed by winter 2009.
