A Dundee steel company has spent more than £2,000 in supplying a local under-9 football team with kit that would rival that of any SPL club.

Brown & Tawse Steelstock, based in Dundee, has provided Ferry Athletic under-9s, who play in the Dundee and District Youth League, with the impressive new kit.

The kids are delighted to receive new strips, tracksuits, shorts, socks, sweatshirts, and bags.

Douglas Lawrie, a director of independent steel specialist Brown & Tawse, said: "We have a charity trust and look for good, local causes and thought that supporting a young football team would be a very worthwhile cause.

"We have never got involved with football before but it's been a great experience and we now hope to do some work with some youth teams."
