John Amabile To Design New Show Homes In Perth

Construction News Image

TV interior designer and former 60-Minute Makeover star John Amabile has been hired by Springfield Properties to create two new show homes at Bertha Park Village in Perth, showcasing the individuality and character that can be achieved in a new-build home.

The appointment aligns with the latest phase at Bertha Park, which introduces a refreshed collection of house styles designed for modern living. The three-bedroom Askernish and five-bedroom Gleneagles, situated off Bertha Way, are scheduled to open early next year and will present Amabile's vision for homes brimming with personality from day one.

Taking cues from Scotland's heritage, each show home will feature a distinct design scheme, demonstrating how buyers can put their own stamp on Springfield's newest house types.

Amanda Berry, Regional Sales and Marketing Director at Springfield Properties, said: "Our current show home has been open since we started selling homes at Bertha Park nearly 10 years ago. With our new house styles, we wanted the show homes to feel every bit as distinctive and inspiring as the homes themselves. John's designs will showcase the creativity and individuality that can be achieved in a new build home. These show homes will demonstrate how a new build is a blank canvas that allows homeowners to create a space that reflects their own personality, lifestyle and taste.

"Our vision is to create interiors that feel aspirational and achievable, giving visitors ideas and inspiration. We're very excited to have John on board and looking forward to welcoming customers to the show homes when they're finished early next year."

With 40 years' experience in interiors, a successful TV career and the launch of his own Interior Design School earlier this year, Amabile brings extensive creativity and expertise to the project. He added: "From the moment Amanda shared her vision for the latest Springfield show homes, I knew I wanted to be involved.

"One of the biggest myths about new build homes is that they all look and feel the same. The reality is that they offer incredible flexibility, whether you love the drama and elegance of period interiors, the warmth and comfort of a country cottage, or a clean and contemporary style, a new build home provides the perfect backdrop for creating a space that is uniquely yours.

"The opportunity to start with a blank canvas is something many homeowners only dream about. My goal is to create two very different interiors that show just how much personality and character a new build home can have - and thankfully, I'll have a little longer than 60 minutes to do it!"

Bertha Park Village is already home to more than 600 families and continues to expand its amenities, including a locally run café, convenience store, takeaway, pharmacy and secondary school. Green spaces, a destination play park and public transport links support a thriving community on the edge of Perth.

A selection of three, four and five-bedroom homes is on sale now, with prices starting from £260,500. Further details: www.springfield.co.uk/homes-for-sale/3-perth
