Have Your Say On Plans To Relocate Tobermory 2-18 Campus

Argyll and Bute Council has begun a Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) 2010 statutory consultation seeking feedback from pupils, families and the wider Mull community on proposals to relocate Tobermory Campus.

The consultation is available on the council website from 24 August to 2 October 2026.

The plan would move the existing Tobermory High School to a new site, representing a key step towards delivering a modern 2-18 campus for children and young people on the island.

A public meeting will take place at 6pm on 17 September at Tobermory 2-18 Campus, Erray Road, Tobermory, Isle of Mull.

The project is part of the council’s broader programme to invest in education and provide high-quality learning environments across Argyll and Bute.

Councillor Kieron Green, Argyll and Bute Council's Policy Lead for Education, said: "Pupils attending Tobermory already benefit from the 2-18 campus model. This supports children and young people throughout their educational journey, generating significant educational benefits, including smoother transitions between stages, greater opportunities for shared learning and collaboration, and stronger relationships across the school community.

"A new build campus would allow us to continue this approach, while delivering improved access to facilities and resources for early years, primary and secondary education within a modern learning environment."
