Maxi Construction has donated more than £2,000 worth of dried food and snacks to Social Bite to support the charity's mission to tackle homelessness.
The delivery featured essential store-cupboard staples, including rice, alongside a variety of snacks. It will help Social Bite provide hundreds of meals for people affected by homelessness across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Social Bite works to support people experiencing homelessness through access to food, homes and employment opportunities. The charity currently distributes more than 255,000 food and drink items each year to people who are homeless and vulnerable.
Social Bite said: "A huge thank you to Maxi Construction for their generous donation of a variety of dry goods. The volume of what you've supplied will help provide hundreds of meals for people affected by homelessness. Dry goods like rice give people the opportunity to make the meals that they want to eat, whilst a selection of snacks means people can enjoy a treat too, either grabbing a quiet moment by themselves or sharing it with others. Thank you to Maxi Construction and partners for being part of the movement to end homelessness."
The contribution highlights Maxi Construction's ongoing commitment to supporting local communities beyond its construction projects, offering practical help so people have access to nutritious food and everyday essentials.
Food provision forms one strand of Social Bite's wider approach, which also includes housing and employment support to create lasting change. Maxi Construction said it is proud to play its part in backing the charity's ongoing efforts to end homelessness.
