Overnight Resurfacing On A84 Stirling Road In Callander

Construction News Image

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will carry out carriageway resurfacing on the A84 Stirling Road at the south end of Callander from Thursday 6 August.

Crews will operate between 7pm and 6am each night, with completion targeted for Friday 14 August.

For safety, a lane will be closed during working hours. Vehicle movements through the site will be managed by traffic lights and an escort vehicle operating a 10mph convoy. Additional signals will be in place at Robertson Way and Vorlich Crescent to provide safe access to and from these residential areas. The lights will be removed outwith working hours, and access will be maintained at all times for emergency services and scheduled bus services. Access to and from the garage will be provided until it closes at 10pm, whenever it is safe to do so.

Consultation has been undertaken with relevant stakeholders ahead of the works to advise them of the traffic management and reduce inconvenience.

Euan Burnett, BEAR Scotland's North West Planned Maintenance Manager said: "This resurfacing project on the A84 at Callander will fix existing defects in the road surface and provide fresh road markings, greatly improving quality and safety for road users.

"Our teams will carry out these works efficiently, with safety as our top priority. We thank the local community and road users for their patience while we complete the improvements."
