BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will replace the safety barrier on the A830 approaching Mallaig from Monday 13 July.
Works will take place between 8am and 6pm each day and are expected to be completed on Monday 27 July.
For the safety of the workforce and road users, temporary traffic lights will operate 24 hours a day from Monday to Friday throughout the programme. A 30mph speed limit will also be in force at all times, including weekends, until the works conclude.
BEAR Scotland said relevant stakeholders were consulted in advance to highlight the traffic management plans and help minimise disruption.
Michael Baxter, BEAR Scotland’s North West Improvements Scheme Manager said: “This safety barrier replacement project is key to the ongoing safe operation of the A830.
“The works have been planned to minimise disruption to road users as far as possible, however some delays may be experienced, especially during peak times.
“We thank road users in advance for their patience and understanding while our teams carry out these essential works, and ask that the temporary speed limit is adhered to.”
