AC Whyte has become a signatory to the Family Business Pledge, joining a network of family-owned companies committed to responsible leadership and sustainable, long-term success.
The move builds on more than five decades in which AC Whyte has prioritised strong relationships, trusted partnerships and positive outcomes for clients, communities and colleagues. The pledge reflects principles already embedded in the company's day-to-day operations.
Led by Family Business United, the Pledge brings together firms that share commitments to stewardship, people, community, integrity and sustainability, and highlights the important contribution of family businesses to local economies, employment and community investment.
As a family business, AC Whyte has consistently taken a long-term approach — from delivering housing improvements and supporting Community Wealth Building to nurturing future talent — with a focus on lasting value and strong foundations.
Jennifer Phin, Managing Director, said: "Signing the Family Business Pledge was a natural step for AC Whyte. The principles it represents closely reflect the values that have guided our business for more than 50 years.
"As a family business, we've always believed in taking a long-term approach, investing in our people, supporting the communities where we work and building relationships that stand the test of time. We're proud to join other family businesses in making this commitment and celebrating the positive impact family firms continue to have across Scotland and beyond."
Today the company operates across Scotland, delivering energy efficiency, retrofit, refurbishment and new homes projects for local authorities, housing associations and private sector clients. While the business has evolved, its core values remain the same: prioritising people, acting with integrity and striving to create a positive, lasting impact in everything it does.
By signing the Family Business Pledge, AC Whyte reaffirms its commitment to responsible growth, sustainable business practices and supporting future generations.
