The CIH Scotland Housing Awards, sponsored by Aico, have opened for 2026, inviting submissions that celebrate the creativity, passion and innovation of people, organisations and projects improving outcomes for tenants, customers and communities.
Last year's programme highlighted standout achievements across the sector — from life-changing support that helped spinal injuries patients transition from hospital to home, to Housing First services for vulnerable families and a landmark energy-efficiency retrofit. Organisers are now seeking the next set of winners for 2026.
There are 18 categories in total, covering areas including homelessness services, professionalism, equality, progress towards net zero, excellence in accessibility and inclusion, and the achievements of young housing professionals.
The categories are designed to reflect the breadth of teams and practitioners delivering vital services across Scotland — from large housing providers to smaller businesses, individual professionals and tenants.
All submissions will be assessed by a judging panel made up of tenants, residents and housing experts to ensure a rounded appraisal of every entry.
The deadline for entries is Monday 10 August, with full details on how to apply available via the CIH website.
Commenting on this year's awards, CIH Scotland national director Gillian McLees said: "Each year the CIH Scotland's housing awards shine a spotlight on the exceptional work happening across our housing sector, and 2026 will be no exception.
"Scotland's housing sector is full of talent, commitment and innovation, and these awards give us a valuable opportunity to recognise the people and organisations who go above and beyond to improve lives, strengthen communities and deliver lasting impact.
"The quality of entries each year continues to inspire us, and we very much look forward to seeing more exceptional work being delivered across Scotland."
A shortlist will be announced in September, ahead of a live awards ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Glasgow, on the evening of Friday 13 November 2026.
All shortlisted entries will feature in the online Good Practice Compendium — a core learning resource for the sector — with the 2026 edition to be published on the CIH website following the ceremony.
