CCG Group has confirmed a £500,000 investment designed to upgrade its PVCu window and door manufacturing facilities located in Glasgow.

The dedicated 10,000-square-foot glazing plant commenced operations earlier this year. It has substantially scaled up the output capabilities of CCG Manufacturing's PVCu subdivision—a subsidiary of the wider group—by introducing extra fabrication space specifically configured to streamline workflow and boost operational efficiency when producing high-end PVCu windows, doors, and composite door sets.

Furthermore, this financial injection has directly supported the introduction of new traineeships, with four new recruits joining a workforce of more than 30 semi-skilled and skilled operatives who are currently distributed across the business's three manufacturing bases in Cambuslang.

CCG Manufacturing has experienced steady growth since 2019, with yearly production of its premium composite door sets and PVCu windows now topping 25,000 units.

The firm also runs an independent fabrication facility dedicated to creating engineered timber fire door sets, which turns out 11,000 units every year. Combined, this brings the subsidiary's total yearly manufacturing capability to over 35,000 units.

These manufactured goods serve as vital components for the various building schemes CCG handles throughout the Central Belt of Scotland. The company currently has more than 30 active on-site projects, encompassing care homes and new-build housing estates, alongside ongoing asset management and planned maintenance programs for occupied properties.

By keeping these fabrication capabilities entirely in-house, CCG ensures stringent quality control, builds robust supply chain resilience, and facilitates the prompt delivery of building projects nationwide.
