Clark Contracts' Housing division has started work to complete a £35.5m residential development for Falkirk Council.

The project will be delivered in two phases. The first will provide 106 new homes together with supporting roads, services and landscaping, paving the way for a second phase of 31 properties. In total, 137 homes will be created for the local community.

Situated in central Denny, the scheme comprises high‑quality homes for social rent, ranging from one to four bedrooms. To meet a variety of needs, 25 homes will be built to enhanced accessibility standards for residents with mobility issues, and seven properties will be specifically designed for wheelchair users.

All dwellings will meet high environmental standards, incorporating sustainability features such as solar panels to generate electricity.

The development has secured £12.6m from the Scottish Government, supplemented by £1.2m in developer contributions.

Kenny Gillespie, Falkirk Council's Head of Communities, Innovation and Housing said: "There is a high demand for housing across the Falkirk area and this new development will help those with the highest housing needs.

He added: "All of the properties will be built to the most modern standards offering tenants a home that will offer a high-quality residence in the heart of the local community."

Michael Scanlan, Director at Clark Contracts added "We are delighted to be working once again in partnership with Falkirk Council on a development that will deliver much‑needed new homes for the area. This project represents an important step in the continued growth of our Housing division, and we are proud to be creating a lasting benefit for the Denny community, with a positive impact that will be felt for years to come."
