Inch Cape Puts Offshore Installation Tools Up For Resale In Circular Economy Drive

As construction of the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm progresses, the project has moved to extend the working life of its specialist installation equipment by offering high-value bespoke tools for resale to other developers and contractors in the offshore wind sector.

The initiative covers items such as the pile installation frame, transition piece covers, transportation grillages and lifting tools, with reuse prioritised over decommissioning or recycling as part of a circular economy approach.

The equipment will be available in the second half of 2026 and will be sold by UK broker Dixon Marine Consulting via its DMC Saleyard. A full inventory can be viewed at:

Dixon Marine Consulting Managing Director Andy Nolan said: "Inch Cape is being especially forward-thinking and proactive by offering these items for re-sale into the market."

"DMC is delighted to be using our decades of experience as offshore brokers to support them in finding a second life for these highly specialised and valuable tools."

Inch Cape views the resale programme as an opportunity to share lessons with partners, deepen collaboration across the industry and help promote greater standardisation, while aligning with its commitment to efficient, sustainable and responsible delivery.

Key benefits over default scrappage include improved resource efficiency; lower carbon emissions by avoiding the manufacture and transport of new equipment; reduced waste and environmental impact; and potential cost savings for buyers through access to proven tools with no lead times.

Interested parties are encouraged to contact DMC Saleyard directly.
