The Highland Council has announced the completion of 24 new social rent homes at the Teandallon development in Evanton.
The project, which includes a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes, was funded by a Scottish Government grant totalling £3,490,141 with the remainder of the funding coming from The Highland Council.
The development is a significant milestone for the appointed contractor, Compass Construction Ltd, as it marks the 1000th affordable home the company has built in the Highland region.
Councillor Glynis Campbell-Sinclair, Chair of the Housing & Property Committee, said she was delighted with the successful delivery of the homes, which she said have a "transformational impact for people and place."
Thom MacLeod, Managing Director of Compass Building & Construction Services, said the project was about "so much more than bricks and mortar," highlighting the socio-economic benefits, including developing a local workforce, community engagement, and job creation. He added that the most rewarding part of the project is "providing homes for people to prosper and grow."
