Bancon Group Report Turnover Increase Of £110.7m

Bancon Group has reported strong trading results for the financial year to 31 March 2025, with pre-tax profits doubling to £2.6 million compared to the previous year.

Turnover across the Group, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, increased by 13% to £110.7m, up from £97.7m in 2024. The growth was driven by a strong performance in its homes and timberframe divisions.

In the year to March 2025, Bancon Homes handed over a total of 338 homes and saw a 38% increase in the number of private homes sold, which contributed to a 22% rise in its turnover. Deeside Timberframe achieved a 23% increase in turnover and has made a multi-million-pound automation investment at its expanded Stirling factory.

Bancon Construction delivered its highest pre-tax profit since 2007, despite a managed reduction in turnover, by focusing on improved margins through strong partnerships with local authorities and housing associations.

Chief Financial Officer Andrew Tweedie said the results were a "testament to the dedication and talents of our people." He added that the Group is targeting further profit growth in the current year. Chairman Bob McAlpine confirmed that work has commenced on the company's latest private housing development, Valley View at Milltimber in Aberdeen City.
