The annual CIH Scotland Housing Awards, sponsored by Aico, are now officially open for entries. These prestigious awards offer a significant opportunity to recognise and highlight the creativity, passion, and innovation demonstrated by individuals, organisations, and projects that have positively impacted tenants, customers, and communities throughout the year.

The awards feature 18 categories in total, covering a wide range of vital areas within the housing sector, including homelessness, professionalism, equality, net zero, and young achiever in housing. These categories are designed to celebrate the diverse teams and professionals who consistently show a strong commitment to delivering essential services and support across Scotland, from large housing organisations to smaller businesses, individual housing professionals, and tenants.

A notable addition this year is the introduction of a new award: Excellence in Accessibility and Inclusion. This category will specifically recognise housing organisations whose new build designs or retrofit projects have successfully enhanced inclusivity and supported residents' ability to live independently at home.

All submitted award entries will undergo a thorough review by a distinguished judging panel composed of tenants, residents, and housing experts, ensuring a well-rounded and comprehensive assessment of each application.

The deadline for nominations is Monday 11 August 2025. Interested parties can find more information and apply via the CIH Scotland website.

Callum Chomczuk, national director of CIH Scotland, commented on this year’s awards: "We have a housing sector in Scotland we can be proud of, and these annual awards provide the opportunity for us to come together, as a sector to recognise the achievement, the innovation and the determination to build better homes." He encouraged all eligible housing organisations demonstrating a real impact on tenants' and communities' lives to consider applying. "Across the awards, we recognise every opportunity to acknowledge brilliance and I, along with my fellow judges on the panel, very much look forward to being inspired by the great work going on throughout our housing sector," he added.

The winners will be announced at a live awards ceremony to be held at the DoubleTree Hilton, Glasgow, on the evening of 14th November 2025. Furthermore, all shortlisted entries will be showcased in an online Good Practice Compendium, serving as an accessible core learning document for the sector, providing inspiration for delivering on the shared vision of sustainable and affordable housing for all. The 2025 compendium will be available on the CIH website following the ceremony.
