Clark Contracts has successfully completed two projects for NHS Ayrshire & Arran, involving refurbishment works at The Scholars in Kilmarnock and the construction of an extension to Stewarton Medical Practice.
The first project saw the transformation of an existing residential property in Kilmarnock into student accommodation for medical students. The property was adapted to create a four-bedroom, three-bathroom residence with communal living spaces.
The second project involved the construction of a new extension at Stewarton Medical Centre to provide four additional GP consultation rooms.
Both projects were secured through the NHS National Services Scotland’s Scottish Minor Building Works framework, to which Clark Contracts was re-appointed in 2023. Clark Contracts holds a position on two lots of the framework, enabling them to deliver projects valued up to £1.5 million for all mainland health boards, as well as special health boards such as NHS NSS, Scottish Ambulance Service, NHS24, and NHS Education for Scotland.
Gerry Cummins, Director at Clark Contracts, commented on the successful completion of the projects: "Having been appointed to the NHS minor works framework since 2015 and having delivered over 25 projects in the past 3 years we have developed a strong relationship with numerous NHS Scotland health boards in recent years. We are delighted to have worked collaboratively with NHS Ayrshire & Arran to deliver these projects."
Clark Contracts' involvement in the NHS Minor Works framework since 2015 highlights their experience and capability in delivering healthcare projects across Scotland. The completion of these two projects for NHS Ayrshire & Arran further strengthens their relationship with the health board and demonstrates their ability to deliver diverse construction solutions within the healthcare sector.
