Work is set to commence on a project to improve accessibility for pedestrians and cyclists on the Formartine and Buchan Way in Ellon.
A new ramp will be installed to provide safer and easier access to the path from Hospital Road. Funded by Nestrans, the regional transport partnership for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, the project is scheduled to begin around January 20 and is expected to take approximately 5-7 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
During construction, access to the existing path will be temporarily unavailable.
This project forms part of Ellon's Integrated Travel Town programme, which aims to enhance walking and cycling routes within the town. Previous improvements under this programme include upgrades to the Riverside Path, Carolinewells Woods, and various sections along the Formartine and Buchan Way.
