Remediation works on the Cairngorm funicular railway resumed this week, with the aim of returning the train to service as soon as possible.
While significant progress had been made in strengthening the 1.8km viaduct before Christmas, inspections identified areas requiring further attention.
Once these issues are addressed, Swiss funicular specialists Garaventa will conduct rigorous safety testing and trial operations.
Following this, Cairngorm Mountain (Scotland) Ltd will undertake staff training and final preparations before passenger services can resume.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), responsible for the reinstatement programme, will continue to liaise with the Health and Safety Executive.
HIE aims to return the funicular to service safely as quickly as possible, and will provide a confirmed reopening date in due course.
