Barratt And Partners Donate Over £378,000 to Scottish Charities

Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes, and Oregon Timber Frame Ltd have donated over £378,000 to good causes across Scotland in the past year.

The housebuilder supports a wide range of charities through various initiatives, including its Community Fund, which donates £1,500 to a local cause in each of its Scottish divisions every month.

In light of the cost-of-living crisis, the housebuilder has focused on supporting charities that assist young people and families in need.

These include Launch Foods in Glasgow, Families First in St Andrews, and Aberdeen Foyer, which helps prevent youth homelessness.

Other beneficiaries include charities supporting vulnerable children, providing palliative care, and improving the lives of disadvantaged children with additional needs.

These include Polar Academy, Cash for Kids, Nurture the Borders, Endo South of Scotland, The Archie Foundation, Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance, Breast Cancer Now, and various food banks.

Douglas McLeod, Regional Managing Director for Scotland, said: "As the nation's leading housebuilder, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond building homes; it includes making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

"I'm incredibly proud of the fantastic amount raised by our teams this year, all of which has been donated to a diverse range of worthwhile causes, helping to address critical needs across Scotland. We are committed to continuing this important work in the coming year, and I'd like to thank everyone within the organisation for their amazing fundraising efforts."
