Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has submitted a detailed planning application to West Lothian Council for the development of 293 new homes at the former Brotherton Farm in Livingston.
The proposed development includes a mix of two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes, catering to a diverse range of buyers. Twenty-five percent of the homes will be affordable, offering one, two, and three-bedroom options for social rent.
The development will also feature nine acres of open space, a linear park, and an equipped play area. New pedestrian and cycle links will connect the site to existing networks, while the green connection to Limefield Glen will create a tranquil living environment.
The development is expected to contribute to the local housing market and provide much-needed new homes in the Livingston area.
Pauline Mills, Technical Director for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: "We are delighted to confirm that we have made a detailed planning application for the development of land at Brotherton Farm in Livingston. This submission represents our significant and continued investment in the local West Lothian area, and we look forward to positive discussions with the local authority to progress with this development.
"Our proposed development at Limefield Grove will also take an industry-leading approach to biodiversity with the introduction of bug hotels, bird and bat boxes, bee-friendly planting and high-quality biodiverse landscaping throughout. In addition, each new home will also include a high performing building fabric and the installation of solar PV panels to help reduce the overall carbon footprint of the development.
"Along with an impressive range of new homes, our proposed development will also provide a range of economic benefits for the local Livingston area. This includes supporting new jobs for every year of construction and attracting new customers to local businesses from those who choose to live in one of the new homes this development aims to deliver."
