Extensive work on the Tay Road Bridge in Dundee is nearing completion, however drivers should prepare for upcoming closures and diversions as activity on the connecting ramps begins.

Starting Monday, 05 August , and continuing for four weeks, a series of ramp closures and diversions will be implemented. These measures are necessary to facilitate joint replacement and resurfacing on the westbound (Perth) ramp, the eastbound (Broughty Ferry) ramp, and the Fife-bound on-ramp.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays and disruptions during this period.

While works have been scheduled for evening and overnight to minimise the effect on bridge users, it is likely that drivers will face temporary disruption.

Some full closures will be necessary during the period of works, with diversion via Perth the only viable alternative.

The ramp works are expected to be completed by early September with a full bridge reopening on course for later that month.
