Fife Council has formally acquired the new St Columba’s RC High School and Woodmill High School, located at the Dunfermline Learning Campus.
The keys were handed over to Fife Council Leader, Cllr David Ross by BAM's Construction Director for Scotland, Martin Cooper.
Cllr Ross said; "We're delighted to take ownership of these exceptional new facilities. The completion of St Columba’s RC High School and Woodmill High School represents a significant investment in the future of our young people and our community.
"These schools will provide state-of-the-art learning environments that will inspire and support our students for generations to come."
The construction of the new schools began in September 2021, spearheaded by BAM Construction, and reached completion in June 2024.
Martin Cooper, BAM's Construction Director for Scotland, said: "It has been a privilege to work on such a forward-thinking project. The completion of the schools at Dunfermline Learning Campus is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved.
"We are proud to deliver these outstanding facilities that will serve the community for many years."
Fife Council's Education Spokesperson, Cllr Cara Hilton, said: "The schools at Dunfermline Learning Campus are finally ours! School staff can now add the finishing touches to get ready for pupils starting next month.
"This build has been a huge investment from Fife Council in the future of Fife’s young people. With help from our partners, we are building schools across Fife which are ground-breaking in their design and function."
