Network Rail has announced the successful completion of a programme of vital repair works at Harbour Road in Inverness.
Engineers works across the Bank Holiday weekend, to address deteriorated road surfaces on the approach to the level crossing.
Stuart Colvin, Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer for Network Rail, said that the works at Raigmore level crossing were essential to maintain "a safe and reliable railway in the area".
Colvin thanked the local community for their "patience and understanding" as works were completed.
Network Rail worked with local stakeholders and The Highland Council to minimise the duration of the closure.
