Almost £250,000 is set to be invested in two new synthetic pitches in the Dundee to allow for multi-sports use.
The Neighbourhood Services Committee will be asked to approve £245,000 towards the construction costs of a 9-a-side 3G pitch at the Dundee North West Community Sports Hub on Charlotte Street and a 7-a-side 3G pitch at Fairfield Community Sports Hub in Fairfield Park.
The council's financial contributions are included in the Capital Plan 2021-26 and the report’s recommendations fit in with the Dundee Sports Pitch Strategy.
Neighbourhood Services Convener Councillor Anne Rendall said: "The proposed investment is very positive and will allow many to benefit from multi-use sports facilities in their community.
"It's been down to the hard work of the many partners in these projects which has meant the plans have got to this stage.
"The city's Community Sports Hubs provide invaluable work and I know that these pitches will add to the current provision of facilities and allow for more opportunities for training and coaching in the future."
The Neighbourhood Services Committee meets on Monday 26 April.
