Aberdeenshire Council has announced a vacancy for a new Regeneration Officer based at Buchan House in Peterhead.
Peterhead is Aberdeenshire's biggest town and is a significant driver of the local economy.
The council said: "Developing Excellence in our North Coast Communities is a partnership plan to grow the opportunities presented by the energy, food drink and digital sectors whilst developing and growing the town centre and community capacities.
"It is a fascinating and diverse location and this is reflected in the Peterhead Vision and Action Plan. This is a unique role to lead the regeneration efforts in Peterhead at an exciting time for the town.
"Over the coming year, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the first stages of a significant masterplanning exercise for major capital projects including a new education campus, ensuring that the benefits of these developments are maximised as locally as possible. You will have the opportunity to consider the climate challenge and how the future of Aberdeenshire's regeneration strategy should develop accordingly.
"You will lead on the development of regeneration projects with partners and colleagues in the Peterhead area. You will also provide professional advice on property and construction projects to the Regeneration Team who are working in the towns of Banff, Macduff, Fraserburgh and Peterhead."
