North Lanarkshire Council are seeking input on the development of a new Action Plan for the development of active travel in Motherwell, Wishaw and Bellshill.
With input from the local community and stakeholders, the study will help inform an Action Plan to improve walking and cycling in the towns, promote active travel, and increase the use of, and access to, public transport.
The public are being invited to get involved in the consultation over the next four weeks by completing a questionnaire, available online or in local libraries.
Councillor Michael McPake, Convener of the Environment and Transportation Committee, said: "We all use local transport in some form, travelling to and from work and school, getting to the shops or cycling for fun at the weekend.
"So, it's important that we hear the views of local people about how they use their cars, bikes or public transport to travel just now, and how we could improve the transport network for the future.
"The questionnaire will only take a few minutes to complete, so I would ask people in Motherwell, Bellshill and Wishaw to tell us your experiences and ideas."
The questionnaire is available in:
• Motherwell Library 35 Hamilton Road, Motherwell, ML1 3BZ
• Wishaw Library, Houldsworth Centre, Wishaw, ML2 7LP
• Bellshill Cultural Centre John Street, Bellshill, ML4 1RJ.
Responses should be submitted by Saturday 31 August 2019.
