Paisley Museum, Central Library and the Heritage Centre are to undergo a £42 million transformation.
The buildings will officially close on Thursday 20 September ahead of the work taking place.
The Paisley Museum Reimagined project will see major revamps to all of the buildings on the site, including the Coats Observatory, which will reopen in 2022.
The museum is being redesigned by award-winning international architects AL_A and will be completely redesigned internally, as well as having a new entrance, café/restaurant and landscaping.
The local community will also be invited to have its say in the reimagined visitor experience.
The project is part of the ongoing £100m investment to transform key outdoor areas and venues including the Museum and Paisley Town Hall, into 21st-century facilities hosting hundreds of thousands of visitors.
The work will be complemented by a £10m investment to improve the outdoor streetscape and transport links.
