Essential Road Repairs To Take Place In Carnwath

Essential road repairs are to take place on Main Street in Carnwrath, starting on Friday 31 August.

The road will be closed from 7pm on Friday 31 August until 8pm on Thursday 20 September.

An alternative route, which will be clearly signposted, will be via the A721, A702, A73, and A70.

Councillor John Anderson, the chair of the council's Community and Enterprise Resources Committee, said: "These works are essential to improve the road surface at this location. Unfortunately it cannot be done without some disruption to road users and we apologise for that.

"We would advise people to avoid the area if at all possible, or if not to try and ensure they allow themselves extra time for their journey."
