Kier Construction is to carry out overnight manhole repairs in Anderson Drive, Aberdeen.
The work will be completed from 7.30pm on 20 August until 6am the following morning, just north of the roundabout at Anderson Drive/Queen's Road.
Traffic management will be in place, with a road closure north of the roundabout and a diversion northbound along Queen's Road/King's Gate/Anderson Drive.
The project is being delivered on behalf of Scottish Water.
A Scottish Water spokesman said: "Any road or lane closure is always a last resort when we carry out any work.
"On this occasion the location of the manholes needing repaired is such that there is no other way to carry out this work safely than to have a road closure in place.
"The work will be carried out in the evening in order to minimise disruption as much as possible.
"An on-site representative from our contractors will be available to speak to any customers who are directly affected by this work.
"The road will be fully open again in time for the morning rush hour the next day.
"We apologise for any inconvenience while these essential repairs are carried out and thank customers and motorists for their patience and understanding."
