Over 2,000 homes in Dumfries and Galloway are to receive new windows as part of a new £9 million pound investment.
Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership (DGHP) has signed a deal to deliver new windows in 2,200 homes. The contract was awarded to Anglian Building Products.
The project will replace older window units with new PVC double-glazed, high performance windows to help improve energy efficiency and reduce fuel bills.
Chairman of DGHP, Robert Higgins, said: "The multi-million programme will provide much needed improvements across the region and shows our commitment to improve tenants' homes. We look forward to work beginning on the contract with Anglian."
The programme will begin this summer and is expected to be completed in two years.
