Children and teachers from Royal High Primary and Abbeyhill Primary have worked with Artist Heather Lucchesi of Lightbulb Arts to brighten up wooden hoardings surrounding the closed sports centre.

Plans to demolish the building will progress later this year and a new £47million community-use sports centre will be developed.
The outskirts of the site now feature drawings, paintings, press-prints and cut out artworks inspired by memories of sport and children’s impressions of the new centre.
The project had an intergenerational aspect with the memories and experiences of local elderly residents in Gordon Court and a group at Northfield Community Centre recounted to staff and children.
