Construction of the new Hub will begin in March and completed in early 2019.

Cllr Yvonne Allan said: "I am very pleased that we have appointed CHAP Group to build the Tillydrone Community Hub. This facility is yet another example of our commitment to working in partnership with local communities to deliver the services they tell us they really want.

"I am sure that the residents of Tillydrone will welcome this news and continue to work with Council officers to deliver a fantastic community facility at the heart of Tillydrone."

Minister for Local Government and Housing, Kevin Stewart, said: "I'm delighted to see this project, which I know well, get under way. This purpose-built and state-of-the-art community hub will provide local residents with access to vital community services and become a focal meeting point for the community.
